The AGLC's SMART Programs provide social responsibility training to staff in the liquor and gaming industries, ensuring that workers are well-prepared to provide responsible service to Albertans.

Workers at licensed premises must have the certification required for their position within 30 days of hire, in accordance with AGLC policy. Certification is valid for five years. More information about the SMART Programs policies is online at aglc.ca.
